In 2007, we contracted with Heil & Andrews to build a new home for us just outside of Jamestown, New York. We had heard from friends that the company was a model of professionalism, and after a few meetings with Jim Andrews we were sold on using his company for our project.

With a panelized building system the 2x6 exterior walls and 2x4 interior walls and trusses are built inside a state of the art factory away from the harsh weather. This allows us to erect your home to a weather-tight condition much faster than with traditional stick building practices and with much less waste.

We find in today’s marketplace many consumers are confused with the three most common types of residential buildings: panelized, modular and stick built. It is our belief that with panelization you can have the best of all worlds.

Panelized Construction

Modular homes are built inside factories completed and usually shipped in 14-foot wide sections, and offer quick assembly once on your site. They often limit the selections of products and the quality of these products to the items they stock and are not receptive to changes. They often have size constraints due to shipping and high shipping costs.

Traditional stick built homes are custom built on your site and you have many design and material selections. The downside to this is that they usually take longer to complete, the builder does not get volume discounts and it is a higher cost. Usually these builders only build a few homes a year and must make their yearly income on a few homes.

Panelized Construction

Using the Panelized method of building we can offer our customers many custom choices of designs with over 250 standard plans which can be modified, or we can draw a custom plan for you. We offer energy efficient homes at reasonable prices.
